  • Use a discount or promo code
Go to the reservations platform through the "BOOK NOW" button on the ISWT.info / idahospringswalkingtours.com website front page at the top right. Follow the cues that will ask which day, tour time, etc. At the time you enter the correct number of people by agegroup, a small box and line of type will drop down. The link apply promo or discount code will appear. Click on it and type in your specific code exactly as it is seen in the offer. The discount will apply as the system automatically recognizes it and applies the discount. Our two primary ongoing discounts at this time are: SENIOR and MILITARY. Both offer a 10% discount. Other promotions and discounts are offered through private vendors and outside of season, (Memorial Day to Labor Day), other discounts are routinely offered. Please stay connected to our FaceBook page (type in Idaho Springs Walking Tours) in the FaceBook search cue and like our page. We offer promotions from there throughout the summer.

If your group is larger than 20 we will divide the group into 2 groups. At this time, we are accepting group reservations for adult tours only. Please include your email and phone and we will be happy to work with you to create the perfect experience for your guests. In addition, you can call 888-671-TOUR (8687) and we will return your call.
  • What's important?
Before parking at an area of your choice, we recommend visiting any of the facilities located at convenience stores, grocery store or visitor center before arriving at the tour. There are public restrooms located at Courtney-Ryley Cooper Park, 2350 Colorado Blvd., Idaho Springs across from the Safeway grocery store. We are a small, historic town with narrow sidewalks. The tour moves at various speeds that are dependent on the amount of pedestrian congestion, street crossings, road construction and other variables. All wheeled devices may meet with challenges in keeping pace with the tour - moving from one area to another, uneven surfaces, traversing curbs and dodging pedestrians and vehicles at crossings. Aside from taking pictures, please keep your devices packed - you will need to focus on walking safely from one area to another as we walk through historic downtown.
  • Where does the tour start?
It will start right on the bridge overlooking Clear Creek on the North side of Colorado Blvd. The bridge is at the intersection of Colorado Blvd. and Riverside Dr.
  • What happens if I miss my tour?
We will happily reschedule it for you. We do not offer refunds for 'no shows'. Please call 8886718687 and guest services will return your phone call. The traffic and weather here can be very unpredictable so please plan ahead. It is not uncommon for I70 to have backups lasting for hours. It's always a good idea to check traffic speeds at COTRIP.org, also, the weather here before traveling.
  • What happens if you cancel my tour?
Occasionally, we may need to cancel a tour due to guide availability and scheduling conflicts. Also, if there are less than 4 people booked for the tour we may need to cancel the tour or try and place it within another tour the same day at a different time slot. In the event we do not have enough tour participants and need to cancel your tour we will happily reschedule for you or provide a full refund.
  • What should I bring and what to wear?
Water! There will be a quick stop about 1/2 way through the tour where you can run in and grab a bottle of water, however, it's a very busy convenience store and we only allow a short pit stop there. It's best to bring your full water container and use restrooms before starting the tour. Check the weather ahead of travel and wear comfortable shoes and clothing for walking. It is a short distance - about 1/2 mile but we will make stops throughout the tour to narrarate. You will be on your feet about 35-50 minutes.
  • Where do I park?
There are a number of low cost or no cost parking areas that are a short walk from where your tour begins. Idaho Springs utilizes managed parking in the downtown historic district and nearby areas. There are steetscape signs indicating parking zones and fees. Parking features are easy to use by downloading the parking app "PARK MOBILE" for either Android or iPhone. Parking kiosks accept credit cards and the Park Mobile app accepts credit cards as well as PayPal. Click HERE to view a map of the managed parking area in Idaho Springs.
